Day 5: Nature
I'm grateful you've made it all the way to day five!
Today’s focus will be to go outside and spend some time in nature.
Nature has a HUGE impact on our overall well-being. The study of environmental psychology says that spending time in nature rather than human-made environments reduces stress, improves our mood, and improves our overall cognitive performance. In other words, maintaining a routine that allows us to be in nature every day makes us happier, healthier, and smarter.
For today’s challenge, I want you to find a time that works best for you to spend 20-30 minutes outdoors. Have lunch at a nearby park instead of at your desk. Go for a walk in your garden. Catch a wave at the beach if you can.
To keep yourself accountable, schedule into your phone the best time that’d work for you and make it happen. As a bonus, schedule it to repeat every day! :)
