Day 4: Awaken
Welcome to day four!
I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s challenge! Are you feeling more grounded? Today, we're going to take it a step further.
You’re obviously awake since you’re reading this, but are you really awake—attuned to your body and living in the moment?
In the book 'Practicing The Power of Now', Eckhart Tolle teaches a meditation that really wakes up our bodies and boosts our level of presence. That’s what I want you to do today.
Step 1: Sit down in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed and close your eyes.
Step 2: Visualise a white light from the sky funneling down through the top of your head, down your face, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, fingertips, chest, back, abdomen, pelvis, legs, feet, toes and through to the ground.
Step 3: Visualize the light coming back up from the earth into your feet, all the way up through your head back into the sky.
Step 4: Repeat this exercise for five minutes and try doing this meditation at least twice today.
The goal with this is to feel every single aspect of your body, everything from your eyelids to your toes. This will profoundly ground you in your body and in the present moment.
To maximize the benefits, practise this meditation again before going to bed tonight.
